Visual Programming of Robotic Tasks
Ling, David ; Bambušek, Daniel (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to extend the functionality of ARTable system, which using Robot operating system (ROS). In this thesis, user interface was extended and now it is possible to create new or edit already created programs for PR2 robot using touch table. All extensions are implemented in Python using ROS and Qt frameworks. The extensions are fully functional and connected to the rest of the system.
Software Tool for Visual Specification of Laboratory Experiments Execution Flow
Truhlář, Jan ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
Aim of this work is to design and create a software tool, which will allow visual specification of laboratory experiments flow on device called GOLEM. This device was created by research group from Department of Chemical Drugs, University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno. This software was based on modern web technologies, tools for their design and implementation. The software created in this work offers ergonomic and the highly modular user interface which can be easily extended in case of upgrade. Main benefit of this work is providing research group with a new software tool which will help them perform experiments more effectively.
Game for Teaching Very Basic Programming
Rončka, Martin ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to create a game for teaching very basic programming. An analysis of current programming education games and education principles takes up the first part of this thesis. This is followed by a design and implementation of visual programming interface in Unity3d and later integration of this interface into a simple game supporting the foundings from the first part of the thesis. This thesis is then being evaluated from the technical and user perspective with the goal to analyze the effectiveness of both the visual programming interface and the game as a tool to introduce programming to non-coders.
Mobile Application for Robotic Arm Programming
Jurka, Vojtěch ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and creation of a system which controls and programs a robotic arm through a mobile application. The system consists of an Android mobile application and a server. The server is implemented like a Python script to process the app communication and then send instructions to the robotic arm. This approach makes it easy to use one mobile device to control several robots independently.   This solution enables the user to control and program the robotic arm in real time using intuitive control elements and to create and edit applications for the robot. All through his mobile device. The programs for the robot are created with the methods of visual programming directly in the mobile application. This way of robotic arm control contributes to the accessibility of these devices to the less professional public, which could utilize these devices.
Web User Interface for Visual Programming of Robotic Tasks
Vích, Štěpán ; Bambušek, Daniel (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes development, design and testing of the web user interface. This interface generates a robotic code for the PR2 robot and ARTable system, that is being developed on the BUT FIT. Interface is designed in the way that anyone could use it, for example less experienced programmer or even a person without technical experience. During the development stage, the visual programming is used to facilitate the program creation. In the implementation stage the visual programming platforms, such as Blockly, are used to facilitate the implementation.
Learning Software for Visual and Text-Based Programming in Lua/LÖVE
Medek, Petr ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
This thesis pertains visual programming in Lua language with LÖVE framework. Within this thesis was created web application for teaching programming in Lua/LÖVE. Application supports both block and text based programming. Created games can be easily launched on Android platfrom using the Android app that was created in this thesis. The web app also includes tutorials that are well suited for education in schools.
